How it works:
This calculator converts musical tempo (BPM) into milliseconds delay time, useful for setting delays, reverbs, and other time-based effects.
Delay (ms) = 60,000 / BPM × Note Value
Where:
- 60,000 = milliseconds in a minute
- BPM = Beats Per Minute (tempo)
- Note Value = the musical note length (1 for quarter notes, 0.5 for eighth notes, etc.)
Common uses include:
- Setting delay times to sync with your track's tempo
- Configuring reverb pre-delay for rhythmic effects
- Timing LFO rates and modulation effects
- Calculating echo times for tempo-synced feedback
